Injection Moulding

Create durable 3D solutions that deliver a strong visual impact and elevate the perceived quality of your product.

Premium 3D Badging Solutions

Injection moulding is an advanced manufacturing technique used to produce striking 3D badges and nameplates using high-quality thermoplastic materials. A thermoplastic is a specialised material that melts to a liquid when heated and returns to a smooth, solid state when cooled, allowing for incredible structural precision.

These 3D solutions are highly versatile and engineered to perform flawlessly across a range of different environments. Depending on your specific project requirements we can utilise cost-effective machine-engraved aluminium tooling or engineer bespoke steel tooling for more complex items and longer production runs.

Durable for Any Environment

Engineered for both internal and external applications with a wide selection of base materials and robust fixing options available.

The Manufacturing Process

Step 1: CAD Design & Tooling

We begin by creating a bespoke mould tool using CAD software based on your approved design. Depending on the complexity of the badge we will utilise either machine-engraved aluminium or bespoke steel tooling.

Step 2: Thermoplastic Injection

High-quality thermoplastic material is heated until it reaches a liquid state. It is then precisely injected into the bespoke mould tool to capture every detail of the 3D design.

Step 3: Cooling & Release

The injected plastic is carefully cooled allowing it to return to a smooth and solid state. The mould tool is then separated and the raw 3D badge is released ready for finishing.

Step 4: Multi-Layered Finishing

Each customer’s specific badge is made up of carefully constructed layers. We apply a plated coating and a decorative finish to achieve the desired visual impact before adding the final adhesive layer or mechanical fixing.

What is a thermoplastic?

A thermoplastic is a highly versatile plastic material that melts into a liquid when heated. This allows it to be injected into complex moulds before returning to a smooth, durable solid state as it cools.

Yes. Our injection moulded badges are extremely durable and perfectly suited for both internal and external environments.

We offer flexible tooling options to suit your budget and project size. Machine-engraved aluminium tooling provides a low-cost process for simpler products, while we engineer bespoke steel tooling for highly complex items and long production runs.

We offer a variety of fixing options tailored to your product. Depending on the application surface and environment we can supply either high-performance adhesive layers or robust mechanical fixings.
